A Few CVS Updates...

Okay, first of all, get excited. You can still take the Medicare Part D quiz and receive a $5/$30 coupon! Yay! I love using these at Publix on my groceries, since they take competitor's coupons. It also makes for some sweet deals at CVS, especially with the Thanksgiving/Black Friday sale coming up this week! Michelle, over at Money Saving Madness, reports that this should be a coupon with a new barcode. So if you've used this coupon in the past, take the quiz again and it should produce a new barcode that you can use again at CVS. Good luck!

Next, be on the lookout in your CVS ad or at your register when you're checking out. There is a certificate that looks like this:

If you present this certificate once between November 1st and December 15th, you will receive double the extra bucks that you receive on your quarterly spending rewards. (Usually you receive 2% back on what you spend at CVS once per quarter. With this certificate, you will receive 4% back). It's not a huge amount, but it's something! =) Your 4% quarterly rewards will be available for you to spend in January. Thanks, Savings Cents with Sense!

Also, right now, for every CVS $25 e-gift card that you buy online, you will receive an additional $5 gift card. Might be nice if you're planning on giving somebody a CVS e-gift card. You could use the extra $5 for yourself in further sweetening some of your deals. E-gift cards can be used at any CVS location! Thanks, Hip2Save!

One final note...wondering about Black Friday at CVS? Here's how it usually works. There is the regular weekly ad (which I should be posting deals on here soon!). Then, there is a 2 or 3 day sale that starts on Thanksgiving Day. This is one of the biggest CVS days of the year! Last year, they had about 10-15 freebies after ECBs. You know those killer deals that are usually every now and then, maybe one deal a week? For example, you pay $6.99 and get back $6.99? There will be many of those! It's a great way to use the ECBs you currently have, use that $5/$30 above, use gift cards you have, and rack up your stash of ECBs using multiple transactions! (Planning is key! Haha!)

Happy CVS'ing!

Use the CVS Flu Coupon up to THREE times!!!

If you have taken the CVS Flu test recently to receive a $5/$25 coupon, you have probably noticed that you can only use the coupon one time per Extra Care card. This is such a great coupon to have to make deals so much sweeter. In fact, just the other day I was wishing I had 2 of these, since I had to do 2 separate transactions to roll my ECBs. Well, good news! There are now 3 different links out, that print the $5/$25 coupon with 3 different barcodes! This means you'll have three of these coupons to use per Extra Card card. I'm really excited about this. =)

$5/$25 #1
$5/$25 #2
$5/$25 #3

Happy CVS'ing!!! I will be sharing about my CVS trip probably either today or tomorrow...

Thanks goes to
Couponing to Disney for this great hint!

New CVS coupon: $5 off of $25 purchase!

I'm super excited! CVS is offering a new printable coupon on their website! Take the Flu IQ Quiz, and you'll receive a $5/$25 coupon. This will make for great CVS deals (hopefully next week with a better sale). Also, don't forget if your Publix takes drug store competitor coupons, you can use this on your grocery purchase! I just got home from grocery shopping tonight to find this new coupon online. Bummer! Good thing it doesn't expire until October 5th. =)

Registering your CVS card online

In the CVS Basics post, I told you that one of the best things you can do is to register your CVS extra care card on their website after you get it in the store. This serves two purposes:

1. If you forget it while shopping, they can look your card up by phone number.

2. This is the most important reason. They send you coupons by e-mail every so often. I would say I get one at least every 4-6 weeks. They are usually $5/$25, or $4/$20, etc.

What I love so much about these is that Publix will accept these as competitor coupons at my store!! I just checked my e-mail this morning, and I had a $5/$30 purchase in my inbox. I'm so excited. I will be adding this to my pile of coupons when I go grocery shopping this weekend.

The great thing about these types of coupons, is that the coupon comes off of your total before all other coupons. So I could spend $35, hand them this coupon for $5, and then have an additional $25 in coupons, and only pay $5!

So go here to register your card online! Soon, you'll be getting hot money saving coupons in your e-mail inbox as well!

Also, don't forget that you should scan your CVS card on the price scanning machine in the store every chance you get. Those machines always pump out these kind of coupons!

CVS - $25 giftcard with a transferred prescription

CVS offers these all the time. You simply transfer a prescription to one of their stores, and you receive a free $25 giftcard. Here's the latest offer. Just print this coupon, take it in, transfer your prescription, and get a giftcard! You will find if you have signed up for the extra care card, you will get these offers even more often! Sometimes they print out on the bottom of my receipt!

Not sure what an extra care card is? Go here to learn all about the CVS game of saving money!

A CVS coupon!

Go here to take the short CVS readyfill quiz, and you can print off a $5/$25 purchase! This will help you with your CVS deals this week, especially if you don't have any manufacturer's coupons yet. This can be used before your other coupons! So it can bring your total down even more. When I have these, I always try to get my total just over $25, then use manufacturer, store, and ECBs on top of that!
