The Curious Case Of The Missing Extra Bucks...

Okay...so this time I didn't let my ECB's expire...

I LOST them!!! Help, I can't find them anywhere! I've looked all over my house. $15 worth of freebies at CVS, $15 to help me roll my deals and pay nothing out of pocket, $15 that I cut coupons to get...

I'll update you if I find them. Until then, looks like I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for the best week that allows me to get back in "the game" without paying too much out of pocket!

And I promise I'm not usually this unorganized!

What About You: How is your ECB stash coming???

i keep 2 small brown envelopes which close with a brad in my Q binder. I've punched holes in the bottom of both, and included them in the 3-ring part. the opening is to the right, and they are marked CVS ecbs and Walgreen's RR, respectively. It's great. When I'm ready to checkout, and grab them quickly with my Qs. When I get more at the register, I stash them back in there, so they're never lost.

Meg, I made me 1st trip to CVS this morning...well, not 1st trip, but 1st as a couponer. It wasn't great, but I knew Id have to spend some out of pocket to start getting my ECBs.

I got:
2 Dove Deodarants
1 Renpure Shampoo
1 Renpure Conditioner
1 Crest Toothpaste
1 Revlon Mascara
2 Revlon Lipsticks
1 Almay Eyecolor

I had $8.75 in coupons and had to spend a total of $32.95 out of pocket today...but

I got back $14 in ECBs and will get back $6.99 from the renpure rebate so essentially I only spent $11.96 on everything today...not terrible for getting started!!

I have envelopes for each store I shop at (ex. CVS, Walgreens...) and place store specific coupons, like ECBs, in their respective envelopes. Then, when I scan the ads every weekend, I put my shopping list and needed mfg coupons in the envelopes and off I go!

Just call them and they will reissue them. One time my daughter ripped them up and I called and they can tell if you give them your card number which ones you have earned and if you have used them.

Thanks for all the advice, ya'll! I promise I'm usually a lot more organized. I have a designated space in my miniature coupon carrier and everything! I have no idea what happened to them. I will try to get them re-issued, though.

Congrats on your trip, Sarah! That's some great savings!
