Jacksonville Locals -- Okay, here's the deal...
But I also know there are great stores out there with very coupon-friendly policies. Here's what I would love for you to do, if you live in Jacksonville or the surrounding areas...
Shoot me an e-mail at frugalfunfortune@gmail.com, and tell me what you know about different stores you've been to. I'm mainly looking at Target, Publix, Walgreens, CVS, and Walmart. The two stores that have major coupon issues are Target and Walgreens, so info on those would be really helpful. Also, since Publix coupon policies differ so greatly from store to store, it would be really great if you could send me any info about the couponing policy of the Publix store you shop at.
I will take all of the info I receive and put it into one gigantic list available for everyone to view on the blog. I think this list would be REALLY beneficial to readers, so I appreciate your help! Thanks so much!

Okay
I live on the southside/San Marco area
VERY coupon friendly CVS and Walgreens on 3505 University- SO nice and helpful, I got 6 free Purex no problem at all and they let me do more than one transaction in the same line for more RR- they are cool with it :)
AWESOME publix here too!! Today the manager smilingly (is this a word?) OKayed me using TWO $5/20 CVS thingies with a 3 Dollar Register Reward AND a 2 dollar ECB! ALL in the SAME transaction :) Plus all my other coupons- I had ALOT- my publix is awesome, I love it!
I saved 117 bucks!
Walmart on Phillips HWY AWFUL- Dont even bother.
Target in Mandarin- Had issues with a Trainer telling me that I was cheating the system, and getting loud and rude with me. I called Corporate, Who knows what will even come of it.
The managers at That Target are cool tho. as well as the Publix right near it too.
There is an awful walgreens up from the one I go to- Ill find out the road later, Im new to Jax and still learning road names.
Food Lion on San Jose- AWESOME- I had printed out like 8- $1.00 off Blue Bunny Ice Creams.. Making them 88 cents. They were so cool about it, and even went looking for an item in the store that I had a free coupon for!
Hope this helps, Ill find out the road names when my fiance gets in!
I'm in Gainesville, would you like info on my area too?
Wal-Mart in general is horrible. The few times that I have gone in there lately they act like they don't what to do with coupons. Last time I was there I had three baby food coupons ( $1 off any 2 and I was purchasing 6) and the cashier at first refused to take all three because the coupon said limit one per purchase. Once I convinced her that it wasn't per transaction and that it just meant you can't use more than one coupon per item I thought I was in the clear. Oh was I wrong! She then refused to take the coupons because on the back it said "Copyright 2009". The coupon clearly said that it expires in August 2010!! Oh by the way, for those of you with young children make sure you sign up for Gerber's Start Healthy Stay Healthy newsletters. They send very helpful newsletters full of information about what's happening with your baby, toddler, or preschooler at different stages. Plus they are full of
coupons! I normally make my daughter's babyfood ( Cooking for Baby by Lisa Barnes is great recipe book) but it's nice to give my food processor a break every now and then :-).
Alison - Yeah! =)
I live in St Cloud. I don't like walmart at all! The wont take more than one printed coupon per total purchase....they said is store policy, even manager assures me this is a new store policy. At Walgreens, the assistant manager inspected every coupon like they had something wrong, even said that one coupon had a different picture that what a was getting.(coupon said any)She was so rude.
Anyway, sticking with target, cvs and publix anyway.
I live in World Golf Village.
Both Wal-greens and CVS here are very nice and excited about my coupons. Also, the Wal greens on 210 is very helpful and nice.
The Winn Dixie on 210, one of the managers there has treated me as if I was trying to commit coupon fraud...slidding in expired coupons and making copies. Of course I was not. They will not take a coupon even 1 day late!
The big/newer Publix in WGV is very coupon friendly.
The big/ newer Publix in World GOlf Village took my CVS coupon that said "$10.00 off $50.00". Also, I want to say that the CVS and the Walgreens in WGV are extremly coupon friendly.
I live in the St. Aug area and Wal-Mart is just horrible. The Target in my area seems to be OK with all coupons except competitors (not sure if that is the norm or not) and my Publix at Cobblestone is absolutely awesome, they'll take anything!!!!!!!
I live north of Jax, and my best Publix is actually in Kingsland, Ga, even tho it is not a true BOGO. The only competior coupons they take are Harvey's and Winn-Dixie though. WAl-Mart in Yulee, Fl is really bad, don't bother. Also the Target in Yulee is bad, too. They wouldn't let me use my coupons for the card game deals or for the Herbal Essence, or the renu contact solution! Target behind Regency Square Mall is awesome though!
Thanks for all the info, everybody!
I have to leave another comment, Sometimes its not the "store" as much as it is the manager or staff that happens to be on at that time-
My Walgreens during the DAY is AWESOME! the manager the cashiers etc.
Now that SAME walgreens at NIGHT- WOW its like Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde!
If you find a great cashier and a great manager,,, I suggest only shopping for major tricky deals when they are ON.
Makes a Huge difference.
The Walgreens that let me get SIX free Purex Det. During the DAY would not let me get the Revlon Eyeshadow. Nor the Kotex pads or Tampons deal - I had to void my entire transaction and leave. :(
I will go back in the afternoon Hoping the good ones are on, and trying the same 2 transactions one more time, before the sales are up for the week
Oh yeah...coupon-friendly cashiers make a WORLD of difference.
