Worth Reading...

I have read some interesting blog posts lately, and I thought I would pass some of them along to you as one list. =) Here you go!

Kaley, over at Cha Ching On A Shoestring, is doing a great series of posts on "Living Large." You can view the first one here. I like it, because it helps put life and frugality in a nice perspective, reminds me to prioritze what is truly important, and calls me back to simplicity at its finest.

Jenny, over at Southern Savers, has an excellent post about Coupon Burnout. Whether you're brand new to coupons or have been couponing for 20 years, it is very common to experience the "deal hunting and coupon burnout." I get it often! This post is so true, and I find myself needing to take some of the advice myself!

Did you know there is a canned pumpkin shortage this year? It's true! I'm definitely seeing the effects of it down here in Florida. I couldn't find it at my grocery store, and when I went to Walmart, they had about 10 cans left. Crazy! Usually, there are shelves full of it. Jennifer, over at Getting Ahead, has a great post on how to make your own canned pumpkin! Enjoy!

Alyssa, over at Keeping the Kingdom First, had her sister Jessica do a guest post on her experience in another third world country. The post is entitled "Perspective: A Journey to Nepal." I am a huge activist for social justice on a global level, and I really liked this post. I firmly believe in "living simply so that others may simply live." It's important to keep the proper perspective - a global perspective. We are all human beings. Jessica's post echoes this truth. Go here to read all about her experience, and to see how other suffering people must live in this world. I am sure that it will cause you to challenge your lifestyle, appreciate how much you have, and consider ways to give more. One of the most important aspects of couponing and saving money is that we are enabled to give more away to others.

Crystal, over at The Thrifty Mama, did a great series of posts on "Thrifty Tips to Reduce Your Heating Bill This Winter." There are some really creative tips - definitely worth reading! Go here to view Part 3, and there is a link within that post to see Parts 1 and 2. (Also, she did a great tutorial on how to make your own solar heater. Check it out here!)

Amy, over at The Finer Things In Life, did a great series of posts on "20 Ways to Save On Groceries Without Using Coupons." This link takes you to Part 4 of the series, and there are links within that post to see Parts 1, 2, and 3. There is some great advice in this series, and I very much agree. You do not have to use coupons to save!

Amy also did a guest post here on how to freeze meals, maximize freezer potential, save time, and minimize freezer burn. It's very interesting, and I found it extremely helpful!

Enjoy reading!!! =)
