Freezer Cooking Day: My Plan For Tomorrow!
This is something brand new to me. I have never in my life tried freezer cooking! Now, let me just be honest - I'm not attempting the whole "Once A Month Cooking" thing. No way am I just going to dive into this thing and make an entire month's worth of meals! I'm just trying it out tomorrow.
Here's what I am planning on cooking and freezing tomorrow:
*Meals*
- Triple Corn Casserole
- Baked Mac n Cheese
- Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas
- Vegetarian Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce
- Santa Fe Chili
- Black Bean Veggie Burgers
- Yummy Mac n Cheese (the best I've ever tasted, in fact)
- Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
- Alegheny Applesauce Bread
- Sandwich Bread
- Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls
- Buttery Rolls
- Whole Wheat Waffles
- French Bread
I'll have to let you know how it goes. I'm going to try to update as much as possible tomorrow while I'm cooking. I plan on sharing recipes and pictures! I'll try to get you some of the recipes that don't have links (if I have time - hehe).
Tomorrow I will be bringing you my final Super Savings Saturday for the month of January, and you'll get to see whether or not I stuck to my goals for the Eat From The Pantry Challenge. (uh oh).
Ready or not...here we go!
What About You: Would you like to join all of us in the Freezer Cooking Weekend? It's not too late! You can comment or link up over at either of the blogs I linked to above! Or feel free to leave your comments on this post.

I would LOVE to do a freezer cooking day. Unfortunately :(, I will be sleeping during the day tomorrow as I am working night shift tonight and tomorrow night. I will definitely try to do one during the week next time I hear about one on blogs. I could always do it by myself but it seems like it would be more fun knowing so many other people are doing it the same day!
Keith wants to know how you freeze a casserole. hehe
Yo girl! Casseroles are the easiest thing to freeze. All you do is put tin foil down in the casserole dish, and when it cools. Pop it out, wrap it up tightly, and slip it into a big freezer ziplock bag. =)
When you want to use it, you pop it out of the bag, and can put it right back in the same dish to reheat it in.
Keith - you crazy. Can't wait to see you two very soon!!! (Your message was hilarious, Kaylee)
Oh, and Sara -
So sorry to hear you have to work! You'll definitely have to join them next time. It's for sure a lot more fun when you're doing it with everybody else!
i might try some of the meals! I'm here in TN and we had a snow day yesterday (one reason I love being a teacher!) and so I got most of the work I had planned for today done yesterday. I think I'll start off small, though, even smaller than you!
Stopping by to say hello with Friday Follow. Hope you have an amazing weekend.
