Super Savings Saturday: Last Week of the $20 Challenge!
Here's what I bought at Publix this week:
2 Doritos
2 Knox gelatin
1 Quilted Northern toilet paper
2 Quaker granola bars
2 Del Monte canned tomatoes
4 Sundown vitamins (donating)
2 corn on cob
1 can corn
4 Royal Gala apples
2 bags potatoes
2 Ocean Spray cranberry juice
4 Glade soy candles
Total Before Sales and Coupons: $82.16
Total saved from sales: $19.67
Manufacturer coupons used: $28.38
Store/Competitor coupons used: $22.00
Total amount saved: $70.05
Total paid after all sales and coupons: $12.11
*I thought this was a great trip, considering this is the price of 2 bottles of Sundown vitamins by themselves! =)
*I didn't make it to CVS this week (even though I wanted to). I had $12 extra bucks that expired. I'm so mad at myself! I did go to Target, though, and here is what I bought (forgot to take a picture):
2 Hungry Hippos travel games
3 Airwick Freshmatic Ultra i-Motions
1 Degree deodorant for women
1 Degree fine fragrance splash for women
Total paid: $5.09
Total savings: $56.35
*This is also great, considering the travel Hungry Hippos game was $4.99 alone!
***With Publix and Target combined, I spent a total of $17.20 this week! We're under budget for this final week of the challenge!
October Totals:
1st week: $15.69
2nd week: $17.90
3rd week: $23.84
4th week: $17.20
Total spent for month of October: $74.63
Total savings for month of October: $310.75
There ya have it! We stayed under our $20/week budget for the entire month of October! I'm thrilled. Normally, our budget is $50 a week. We only spent $75 for the entire month! We were able to save $125 by doing this! Within the next couple of days, I will tell you a little bit about where that money went, and what we learned from this experiment. Thanks for following along! It's been fun!

Don't throw out your expired ecb's I was very sick in the hospital last year some ecb's expired on me. When i got back to shopping the manager honored them you never know until you ask.
I have heard that you can call CVS customer service and they will re-instate expired ECB's. Don't know if it's true or not but it's worth a try!
Thanks for the tips, guys! Appreciate it. =)
