Hubby Goes Frugal On Me
Pretty much every weekend, our little date splurge is that we go to breakfast at Panera. It's very inexpensive, and it's relaxing to go there and converse over a yummy bagel. The bagels cost about $.70, and the cream cheese costs about $1.50 for a single serving. We usually each get our own bagel and split a cream cheese. All together, it maybe costs like $3 and something cents.
Today, we're about to head out to Panera for breakfast and then to the beach...
As we're getting our things ready to go a couple minutes ago, Kyle boldly pronounces to me that we will no longer be paying "more for a single serving of cream cheese than the cost of an entire 8 oz worth at the grocery store, not to mention FREE when we use coupons."
Now I'm all for being frugal, but call me crazy if I just enjoy going to Panera, relaxing, and not worrying about paying $1 and change for a cream cheese that we split. Ha Ha! I told him that it's just kind of a pain to put the cream cheese in a container and take it up to Panera. Besides, I like their cream cheese and it's easier to just get it there.
Kyle insisted, though. While I was getting ready for the beach, Kyle walked over to Publix and picked up some cream cheese. Today will be the first day of many to come on which we portion out some cream cheese to take with us to Panera...
I'm so proud of my hubby. He learns from the best. He He. =)
