Publix Deals (1/14 - 1/20)

If you are new to couponing at Publix, start here. If you're a beginner, be sure to check your store's coupon policy. Florida stores do not double coupons. In other states, check your store for info on whether or not they double coupons. Prices vary slightly from store to store, depending on your area.

Forgive me if there are any mistakes. I'm very tired, and had to rush. Heading to bed. Have to get up extra early for work tomorrow! I'll spell check and double check the coupons tomorrow! Leave comments to let me know if I missed anything or made mistakes! Thanks. You guys are the BEST!

Ok, I just got back from my shopping trip and wanted to share. I spent $76.79 (which may go down to $74.29 with a promo that didn't get taken off) and saved $105.84 (which may go up to $108.34). I had to get a few things that weren't on sale or that were without a coupon...I have 4 kids, so I guess that's ok. I have a pic, but don't know how to post...let me know and I'll send it!

Great job, Christina! It's SO addicting. I went in tonight as well & got 2 packages Quilted Northern, 4 boxes GE light bulbs, 2 bottles Fantastik, 4 bags Halls cough drops, 2 bags Dentek floss picks, & 8 packages of I Can't Believe I's Not Butter. My total was $1.71. YAY!

Hi! Im new to couponing and have been following your blog to try to get started! I have a quick question though...on the coupons in the publix advantage flier they say "one coupon per purchase" but do they actually let you use multiple? (for example, the healthy choice entrees you talk about using 5 of the coupons) Thanks!!!

Sarah, you can use multiple coupons because you are PURCHASING more than one product. For instance, you can't use 2 Healthy Choice coupons on just one dinner. Hope that helps! =)

Congrats on all of your savings, guys! Christina~ you can send a pic and savings totals to my e-mail address listed under the "about me" section on this blog.

Sarah~ Mandy is right about the coupon. Basically, when a coupon says "one coupon per purchase", it means per item purchased. So in this case, since it's $1 off of 2 items. You can use one coupon per 2 items purchased. So if you buy 4, you can use 2. If you buy 6, you can use 3. And so on...

What you have to watch for is "one coupon per TRANSACTION." In those cases, it means only on coupon per entire transaction.

Hope that helps! I plan on doing a coupon lingo post in the future. I just haven't found the time yet!

Meagan, I just wanted to tell you that I L-O-V-E your blog. I have told at least 6 people about it, and I'm teaching my boss and her daughter how to coupon. (I told her daughter that I once spent .44 on a box of cereal that was normally almost $4. she said 'omg that's disgusting!' haha)
I went shopping last night (grand opening for my Publix! it's HUGE!!) and my total was $114.29 before coupons and sales. I spent 55.68, saving 58.61! We got a few splurges off of the list, too.

Thanks! I heard about your site on one of the news stations here in Jacksonille awhile ago and bookmarked it...I have finally found the time to read through everything and am so excited to start! I picked up my papers, got my little file for the coupons, my All You magazine...signed up for my SwagBucks acct, lol! My husband is military and we have 2 small kids so anything we can save is great! I did a test run with the juicy juice this week with great success! I have been telling everyone I know here about your site as well! Thank you so much for all the time you put into this, it is greatly appreciated!!!

question so sine the healthy choice is 5 for ten dollars what happens if i use the 5dollars of coupon and five of them publix coupons plus to of the save alot coupons would that work and would they give me money back?

January 16, 2010 at 4:13 PM
Blogger Meagan said...

Korrie - No, that would not work, because the Save-A-Lot coupons are manufacturer's coupons. You're already using a manufacturer's coupon per 5 items, so you can not use any others. It's one manufacturer's coupon per item. Since the coupon is $5 off of 5, your limit is reached on manufacturer coupons. Sorry! =) Hope that helps!

I'm trying to plan my trip but it's not working out very good tonight! I can't find the Kraft cheese coupons in my SS, the Dentek printable was a $1 off a $2 purchase instead of $1/1, I can't find the Fantastik cleaner coupon, I can't find the GE light bulb coupon on the Target site.....oh and where can I find that "Healthy Wallet Happier You" booklet?

Haha, I'm not trying to be a pain, Meg! Really!

Hi Nicole. =) No Problem!

Kraft cheese MIGHT be regional. I can't find it in mine either, and it isn't listed under "Florida" on the coupon database.

Dentek probably reached its limit, and then changed to only a $1/2. Happens often with popular coupons. Sorry!

The Fantastik should be there. It's in the coupon database, and it was in my smart source.

And try the lightbulb coupon again on the Target site. I just went there and found it just fine. Try looking under "Household" category. It's "$1.50 off of GE Lighting products."

Healthier Wallet coupons...that's just luck. That's one of those booklets you have to find in-store if you're lucky enough to shop at a store that keeps all the booklets up to date and in stock. Unfortunately, my store doesn't. I usually only see about 10% of the booklets that are supposed to be in the store.

Hope that helps some! Sorry! Regional coupons STINK, and for some reason FL never gets them!

Nicole,

I looked back through my 1-3-10 SS, and found the Kraft cheese coupon! It's a Publix coupon. Remember there were 2 Smart Source inserts that day, so maybe you only checked one? Good luck!

January 19, 2010 at 4:15 PM
Blogger Nicole said...

I looked again for the Kraft cheese coupon and still couldn't find it! I even had my husband look through BOTH inserts and he didn't see it either. So, I must not have received that one.

I did finally find the Fantastik cleaner coupon (AFTER I went to Publix tonight!).

I looked again for the GE lightbulb coupon through all the pages and didn't see it but then clicked on "Household" like you said and there it was! So, that made for some good deals.

And no Healthier Wallet booklet at my store:( (Assuming it is a Publix booklet)

I still got some great deals, look for the picture on FB! I took advantage of the Healthy Choice Meals because my husband eats those when I'm out late for some reason and don't cook supper.

Once again, thanks for all you do! You are appreciated more than you'll ever know. We thank God for you and all you do. Thanks for the help today as well!
