Super Savings Saturday!

This week of shopping didn't turn out so hot for me. First of all, by the time I went to Publix, many of the printable coupons I was going to use were gone. Second of all, I had every intention of going to make a small CVS, Walgreens, and Target run...but never got to it! Probably for the better, though, because I went a tad over this week. Savings this week weren't as great as they normally are either, but that's okay!

Here's what I bought at Publix this week (pictured above):

1 package Angel Soft toilet paper
1 package Sparkle paper towels
2.5 gallons water
1 gallon milk
2 golden acorn squash
1 can of chick peas
1 package of celery
1 bunch of bananas
2 tomatoes
1 bag of royal gala apples
1 bunch of red seedless grapes
2 packages Publix shredded cheese
2 bags of Tostitos tortilla chips
1 jar Tostitos salsa
2 boxes Betty Crocker potatoes (donating)
2 packages Nestle chocolate chips
2 boxes Kashi Go-Lean cereal
2 bottles of Tylenol
4 jars of baby food (for a baby shower gift basket)
2 boxes Kellogg's Special K cereal
2 jars Ragu (blah. I wanted the organic, but couldn't print coupon)
6 cans of Progresso beans (we go through these quickly, & this was a great price!)
2 cans Campbell's Select soups (donating)

Total Before Sales and Coupons: $112.05
Total saved from sales: $37.49
Manufacturer coupons used: $20.80
Store/Competitor coupons used: $14.00
Total amount saved: $72.29
Total paid after all sales and coupons: $39.76

*I also made a Walmart run (which I only do about every 2 -3 months, very occasionally). There were some great prices with coupons. I struck out for the most part, though. None of the prices were what they were supposed to be or they weren't in stock. I had a list of about 10 items, and only ended up getting: flour (for $1), 2 cans of cream mushroom soup ($.08 total), and sandwich bags ($1.32). I paid a total of $2.57 for the few items.

***With Publix and Walmart combined, we spent a total of $42.33 this week. We went a little over our $35 budget this week. We bought a lot of fruit at Publix. The grapes were on sale for $1.69/lb, but they were huge grapes, so they ended up costing almost $5! Also, the paper products put us a little over. It's okay, though. We were under budget last week, and I'll make up for it next week as well!

November Totals:

1st week: $30.04
2nd week: $42.33

Total spent for month of November so far: $72.37
Total savings for month of November so far: $200.68
